Paris Hilton, Adam Brody, Billy Crystal, and More Hollywood Stars Lose Homes in Los Angeles Fires
The devastating fire currently engulfing Pacific Palisades, Hollywood Hills, Malibu, and more areas in Los Angeles truly spares nobody, celebrities included. A growing list of stars have lost their homes in the massive fire, which so far has burned at least 17,000 acres of land and killed five. With thousands of residents, including high-profile individuals, losing their homes, many are turning to LA wildfire lawyers for assistance in navigating insurance claims, property damage disputes, and legal actions against responsible parties.
Nobody Wants This star Adam Brody and his wife, Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester, have reportedly lost their home in the fire that ravaged the swanky Pacific Palisades area. They are not alone. As one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the city, the area is home to many prominent figures in the entertainment industry. One by one, they relayed news of losing their homes in what is quickly becoming the worst fire in LA’s history.
Comedian Billy Crystal and his wife Janice were among those impacted.
“Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing,” Crystal said in a statement. ” Janice and I lived in our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away. We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this.”
Other celebs impacted including reality star Paris Hilton, The Princess Bride star Cary Elwes, and Oscar-winning actress Jamie Lee Curtis.
“Heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” Hilton posted to Instagram Wednesday. “This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.”
Elwes wrote on Instagram, “Sadly we did lose our home but we are grateful to have survived this truly devastating fire.”
“Our beloved neighborhood is gone. Our home is safe. So many others have lost everything. Help where you can,” Curtis wrote on Instagram before thanking the first responders and firefighters.
More stars like Mandy Moore, Josh Gad, Mark Hamill, James Woods, and Eugene Levy were forced to evacuate from their homes along with roughly 130,000 Los Angeles residents who received evacuation warnings or orders since the start of the fire.
