Oasis Makes Triumphant Return After 16-Year Hiatus

588views

16 years after a very public falling out between frontmen Noel and Liam Gallagher, British rock band Oasis finally reunited on stage for their Oasis Live ‘25 Tour.

On July 4, the band kicked off the 41-date tour with an electric concert at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. They will continue touring across the world all the way through November, with shows in the UK (including massive 5-day shows in London’s Wembley Stadium), Europe, North America, South America, Asia, and Australia.

As expected, the reunion tour delivered the band’s biggest hits from their beloved discography. That includes megahits like “Champagne Supernova”, “Wonderwall”, and “Don’t Look Back in Anger” from their 1995 album “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”, “Supersonic”, “Stand By Me”, “Live Forever”, and many more. In total, the band – which consists of brothers Liam in lead vocal and Noel in lead guitar and vocal, Paul Arthur in guitar, Paul McGuigan in bass, and Tony McCaroll in drum –  performed 23 songs. Noel and Liam took turns singing and were as cordial as they’ve been.

The tour is perhaps the most highly anticipated tour of the year because until last year, it was thought to have been impossible. In 2009, frontmen Liam and Noel went into a spat that led to the band’s dissolution. That followed a very controversial run that involved multiple cancelled performances due to clashes between the brothers or with audience members. Yet, the band remains one of the most beloved modern rock bands and, with 70 million copies sold, also one of the highest selling.

With a sold-out global tour to come, let’s hope nobody looks back in anger – at least until the tour wraps!
