Novak Djokovic Goes Viral for Dancing to “Soda Pop” At US Open

This summer, nobody can escape the grip of “KPop Demon Hunters”—not even tennis legend Novak Djokovic. The 24-time Grand Slam winner recently went viral for dancing to “Soda Pop”, the movie’s infectious K-Pop dance track, after winning the US Open quarter final.

The Serbian tennis champ did the famous shoulder popping dance in honor of her daughter Tara, who, like millions of kids worldwide, has no doubt been enchanted by the Netflix animated hit over the summer.

“It’s my daughter’s birthday, so this is a big present for her,” he said in post-match interview.

He added jokingly, “Actually, the dance, in the end, she’s going to rate me tomorrow.”

“Obviously, it’s a big thing globally for teenagers and for kids, but I didn’t know about it before my daughter told me a few months ago about it,” he continued, “So we’re at home doing different choreographies, and this is one of them, so hopefully I’ll make her smile when she wakes up tomorrow morning.”

With that move, the Djoker certainly won brownie points as dad. It’s hopefully a good consolation for the former No. 1 as his US Open run ended in the semifinals, where Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz beat him, 6-4, 7-6, 6-2.
