On Sunday (5 July), Broadway star Nick Cordero passed away at the age of 41 following the complications from coronavirus. The actor contracted the virus back in March and spent months in intensive care. He suffered sepsis infections while in hospital and mini-strokes, which led to the amputation to his right leg.

The heart-breaking news was shared by Nick’s wife, Amanda Kloots, on Instagram.

“God has another angel in heaven now. My darling husband passed away this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth,” posts Amanda. “I am in disbelief and hurting everywhere. My heart is broken as I cannot imagine our lives without him. Nick was such a bright light. He was everyone’s friend, loved to listen, help and especially talk. He was an incredible actor and musician. He loved his family and loved being a father and husband. Elvis and I will miss him in everything we do, everyday.”

Numerous celebrities took to their social media to pay condolences to Nick’s surviving family.

“I’m so shocked to see the news today that Nick has passed. My heart and soul goes out to Nick Cordero’s beautiful wife and family. Rest In Peace, Nick,” tweets Priscilla Presley.

“I can honesty tell you I have never met a kinder human being. Don’t believe that Covid only claims the elderly and infirm,” posts Zach Braff.

Nick Cordero was a Canadian Broadway actor. He was nominated for the prestigious Tony Award in 2014 for the role of Cheech in the musical “Bullets Over Broadway.” He also appeared in television and movies – “A Stand Up Guy,” “Going in Style,” “Inside Game,” “Mob Town” and “Lilyhammer.”

We would like to pay condolences to Nick’s family. May he rest in peace.
