Meghan Markle’s Netflix Show “With Love, Meghan” Accused of Copying Pamela Anderson’s Format

The Duchess of Sussex is caught in a bit of a copycat controversy over her Netflix cooking show, “With Love, Meghan.” The show, which premiered last March, has been accused of copying another celebrity cooking show, “Pamela’s Cooking With Love” starring Pamela Anderson.

Anderson’s cooking show, which premiered in January, featured the “Baywatch” star completely makeup-free and stripped down from her usual glamorous persona as she cooked in a pristine, cottage-style home with various chef guests. Back then, fans already pointed out the similarities between her show and snippets from Markle’s “With Love, Meghan” trailer. It started from the title itself, which both contained the phrase “With Love”, right down to both shows’ aesthetics, the homegrown ingredients concept, and the celebrity guests.

But it didn’t make headlines until recently when Anderson was asked about it on “Watch What Happened Live” with Andy Cohen.

“On a scale from one to ten, how much of a rip off did you feel like ‘With Love, Meghan’ was of your show, ‘Pamela’s Cooking With Love’? There were articles saying these two shows were very similar,” Cohen asked Anderson.

“One. I didn’t,” Anderson replied. The host continued to press her on it, asking, “One? On a scale from one to ten, you did not see any similarities?”

Anderson responded, “No, I didn’t really look—but, I didn’t invent cooking shows. She’s just doing her thing.”

Certainly, both stars have little to fuss about regarding minor crosshair in their careers. “With Love, Meghan” is slated to premiere its second season in the fall, while Anderson is busy promoting her new film “The Naked Gun” co-starring Liam Neeson, whom she’s reportedly dating now.
