With only a couple of weeks left before its global premiere, Marvel’s Thunderbolts has unleashed its final trailer.
The trailer starts off with a dose of nostalgia, as Yelena (Florence Pugh) reminisces about her sister Natasha aka Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and then a brief shot of Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) in the good ol’ days with Steve Rogers (Chris Evans).
The mood of the trailer is more emotional, less explosive spectacle – sharing hints about regrets, redemption and the yearning for heroes post-Avengers. A somber remix of David Bowie classic “Under Pressure” soundtracked the trailer.
The film revolves around a ragtag team of antiheroes – Yelena, Bucky, Red Guardian (David Harbour), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) and John Walker (Wyatt Russell) – who embark on a dangerous mission that forces them to confront the darkest corners of their pasts. In the absence of the Avengers, these misfits must step up to defend the world from a new supervillain called the Void.
The film, directed by Jake Schreier and produced by Kevin Feige, is due out May 2.
