“Lizzie McGuire” Reboot Put on Hold

583views

The long-awaited reboot of “Lizzie McGuire” has officially been put on hold after Terri Minsky, an original show’s creator, left the project due to creative differences with Disney+.

Disney+ released a statement about the situation and explained the reason for the showrunner’s departure.

“Fans have a sentimental attachment to Lizzie McGuire’ and high expectations for a new series. After filming two episodes, we concluded that we need to move in a different creative direction and are putting a new lens on the show,” says a spokesperson for Disney+.

With the project put on hiatus, the search for a new showrunner is still on-going. In the meantime, we can be sure that Hilary Duff will reprise the role of Lizzie McGuire. We will also see Adam Lambert as David “Gordo” Gordon.
