Kobe Bryant, one of the best basketball players of all time, died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas (USA) on 26 January (Sunday). The bad weather and fog in the Los Angeles area are currently cited by the authorities as the main reason for the crash.

According to the authorities, there were 9 people aboard, including Kobe and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, a pilot, John Altobelli (baseball coach) with his wife Keri and daughter Alyssa. There were no survivors – all passengers and the pilot died in the crash.

The world is mourning the death of the NBA legend. Yesterday, the artists paid tribute to Kobe during the 2020 Grammy Awards. Alicia Keys opened yesterday’s ceremony with an emotional farewell to Kobe.

“To be honest with you, we’re all feeling crazy sadness right now, because earlier today Los Angeles, America and the whole wide world lost a hero. Right now, Kobe and his daughter Gianna and all those that have been tragically lost today are in our spirit, are in our hearts, are in our prayers, they’re in this building,” said Alicia Keys.

After the speech, Alicia was joined by Boyz II Men and they performed “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday” together in the memory of the late basketball player. Lizzo also dedicated her song “Cuz I Love You” to Kobe Bryant.

So Sugary staff sends their condolences to Kobe’s wife Vanessa and their family.
