Knives Out Saga Continues with “Wake Up Dead Man” Starring Daniel Craig, Josh O’ Connor, Jeremy Renner, and More; See Trailer Below

Netflix just dropped the first teaser for “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery”, the third installment in Rian Johnson’s murder mystery franchise. Daniel Craig returns as Detective Benoit Blanc, bringing with him a new batch of A-listers for another whodunit romp: Josh O’Connor, Jeremy Renner, Glen Close, Mila Kunis, Kerry Washington, Josh Brolin, and many more.

In the trailer, Blanc faces a “classic, impossible crime” involving a church congregation in a small town. The lack of an obvious suspect then prompts the local chief, played by Kunis, to team up with Blanc to “unravel a mystery that defies all logic.” It is also described as the irreverent detective’s most dangerous case yet.

Judging from the trailer, it appears the franchise has returned to the gothic roots introduced by the original 2019 film. It’s certainly a detour from the bright, summery ambience of the last installment, “Glass Onion”.

“Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” arrives in select theaters November 26 before debuting on Netflix December 12.
