Kim Kardashian has a new name behind her red-carpet wardrobe. Law Roach confirmed Kardashian as his latest client after styling her in a vintage Yves Saint Laurent gown for the opening-night gala of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles on September 19.
Roach revealed the partnership on X with a simple message: “New client 💕.”

For their first public fashion statement together, Roach reached into the Yves Saint Laurent archives. Kardashian wore a black-and-gold sequined gown from the house’s Fall 2004 collection, designed during Tom Ford’s tenure at Saint Laurent. The Chinese-inspired dress featured floral embroidery, a high collar and keyhole neckline, with teal piping visible beneath the skirt. Kardashian paired the archival piece with Oscar Heyman diamond cluster earrings and a Zydo ring. Her hair was pulled into a sleek updo.
The choice fits Kardashian’s long relationship with fashion history. She famously wore Marilyn Monroe’s crystal-covered Jean Louis gown at the 2022 Met Gala and has repeatedly embraced archival designs on major red carpets. She also worked with Dolce & Gabbana on its Spring/Summer 2023 collection, which she helped shape alongside the Italian fashion house.
Prior to working with Roach, Kardashian has worked with several stylists throughout her career, including Danielle Levi, while Kanye West also played a major role in shaping her image during their marriage. Her first look with Roach immediately drew attention because the stylist is known for treating celebrity dressing as a larger visual concept.
Roach rose to prominence through his work with Zendaya and later built a roster that has included Céline Dion, Anya Taylor Joy and Ariana Grande. His “image architect” approach has made him a major figure in contemporary celebrity styling, with his recent work extending into fashion consulting and television as a judge on Project Runway alongside Heidi Klum.
