After two years of dating, Big Bang Theory alum Kaley Cuoco is now engaged to her boyfriend, Ozark actor Tom Pelphrey. The 38-year-old actress took to Instagram to announce the happy news, flaunting her engagement ring alongside her man and wrote, “Amazing weekend.”
The two first made their relationship public in May 2022. They met through their mutual manager, Andrea Pett-Joseph, and it was an instant connection. 5 months later, the couple announced that they were expecting. In May 2023, they welcomed their first daughter, Matilda Carmine Richie.
“The new light of our lives! We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle,” Cuoco wrote on Instagram, along with a series of photos with Pelphrey and the newborn. “We are blessed beyond belief, @tommypelphrey didn’t think I could fall even more in love with you, but I did.”
It’s third time’s the charm for the actress, who had been married twice before. From 2013 to 2016, Cuoco was married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting. After the divorce, she got married for the second time to American show jumper Karl Cook in 2018. They separated in 2021, citing that their paths had gone “in opposite directions.” Their divorce was finalized in June 2022.
Cuoco rose to prominence playing the ditzy but kindhearted Penny in the hit CBS sitcom Big Bang Theory. The show made her one of the highest paid comedy actresses on TV. After the series wrapped in 2019, Cuoco starred in HBO Max’s critically acclaimed dark comedy mystery The Flight Attendant. The series gave Cuoco her first Emmy and Golden Globes nominations. Pelphrey, a New Jersey native, is best known for his Daytime Emmy-winning role in Guiding Light. He also played prominent roles in As The World Turns, Mank, and Ozark, for which he was nominated for an Emmy.
