The John Krasinski-starrer series Jack Ryan on Prime Video might have ended, but the star and the team behind the action thriller ain’t done working together. The “A Quiet Place” actor is currently prepping Silent River, an original thriller written by Aaron Rabin, who was also one of the writers and co-executive producers for the Tom Clancy TV adaptation.

The new drama is once again produced by Amazon MGM Studio for Prime and will feature Krasinski alongside The American’s Matthew Rhys. Silent River will explore how the discovery of a serial killer in a small American town will disrupt the fabric of their lives and those around them.
This is not the end of Krasinski’s involvement with the streamer. The actor-director also has an upcoming Jack Ryan feature film in the works. The movie will see his intrepid CIA analyst once again on a mission to save the day. Described as the next evolutionary step of the adventure series that proved to be a hit for the company, several actors from the show will be reprising their roles, including Wendell Pierce (The Wire) and Michael Kelly (House of Cards). In addition to starring, Krasinski is also producing via his production banner Sunday Night. Jack Ryan’s season two executive producer and director Andrew Bernstein is set to direct a script by Rabin, making it his third collaboration with the former “The Office” star. Horizon: An American Saga star Sienna Miller rounds up the cast as an MI6 agent.
