Jessica Pegula defeated Veronika Kudermetova 6-7(9), 6-1, 6-2 in the third round of the China Open and advanced to the fourth round. Pegula took almost three hours to hold off Kudermetova.
Jessica Pegula will face Paula Badosa for a place in the quarterfinals.
