Jennifer Lopez & Shakira Get Loud for Super Bowl Show

Jennifer Lopez and Shakira performed for the 2019 Super Bowl halftime show held on 2 February (Sunday) in Miami.  

Shakira kicked off the show with the energetic performances of her songs in both English and Spanish. She performed her biggest hits, including “Whenever, Wherever” and “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa.” The singer even changed the lyrics to “Whenever, Wherever” to address the current immigration situation in the United States.

“Lucky you were born that far away so / We could both make fun of distance / Lucky that I love a foreign land for / The lucky fact of your existence,” sings Shakira.

After several minutes, the stage was taken over by Jennifer Lopez who performed such songs as “Jenny from the Block,” “Get Real,” “Waiting for Tonight,” “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” and “On the Floor.”

The show concluded with “Get Loud” performed by Shakira, Jennifer Lopez and 11-year old Emme (Jennifer’s daughter). The ladies gave an amazing performance filled with amazing dance, costumes and visual effects.
