On Monday, a man was detained after he crashed his car into the gate of actress Jennifer Aniston’s Bel Air home. She was reportedly at home while the incident took place.
Shortly after receiving report of a suspected burglary by a man who “ran his vehicle through the gate to the residence,” the police immediately took into custody a lone suspect, a 48-year-old man identified as Jimmy Wayne Carwyle. He has been charged with one count of felony stalking and one count of felony vandalism with an “aggravating circumstance of the threat of great bodily harm.” Carwyle stands to face up to three years in prison if convicted.
Further investigation reveals that Carwyle has been “repeatedly harassing” the “Friends” actress between 2023 and 2025 by “sending her unwanted social media, voicemail, and email messages.” His social media activities also repeatedly mentioned Aniston’s – one of which referred to her as his “bride.”
The Bel Air compound where the incident happened was featured in a 2018 Architectural Digest video. In it, the star took audiences on a tour into the lavish $33 million estate.
