Jannik Sinner defeated Alex Michelsen 6-4, 6-0, 6-2 in the second round of the US Open and advanced to the third round. Sinner took roughly one hour and a half to hold off Michelsen in a match which was a total domination and display of tennis power of World No. 1.
“[I’m] very happy to be through against a very tough opponent. I always enjoy playing here, and every match is different, has its own story, but today I’m very happy, so we’ll see what’s coming,” said Jannik Sinner in a post-match interview.
Jannik Sinner will face Christopher O’Connell on Saturday for a place in the fourth round.
