Iga Swiatek Defeats Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova to Advance to Round 4 of US Open 2024

Iga Swiatek defeated Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 6-4, 6-2  in the third round of the US Open and advanced to the fourth round. Swiatek took roughly one hour and a half to hold off Pavlyuchenkova in a thrilling match with many fascinating shots.

“For sure, she’s a great player. I only need to focus on myself… mostly during the rallies I was focusing on what I wanted to do,” said Iga Swiatek in a post-match interview.

Iga Swiatek will face Liudmila Samsonova on Monday for a place in the quarterfinals.
