According to famous TV Shows and movies leaker Daniel Ritchman (Daniel RPK), MAX is eyeing Phoebe Waller-Bridge (“Fleabag”) to star on Harry Potter TV Series as Petunia Dursley.
Petunia Dursley was previously played by Fiona Shaw in the movies. The character is described as “a Muggle and staunchly anti-magic, more content to keep her home spick and span, and gossip about the neighbours. Despising anything with a hint of the wizarding world about it, she only very reluctantly took her nephew Harry Potter in when both of his parents were murdered. However, alongside her husband Vernon, she made sure Harry always felt unwelcome in their pristine home, while she spoiled her only son, Dudley.”
At this moment, the only confirmed news is Mark Mylod and Francesca Gardiner are working in the show and the first season (“Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”) will have 8 hours: “We have 8 hours to tell the first book so we can dig into the real depths and crevices and how the language of magic can evolve”, told the pair.
The Harry Potter TV Series is set to release later 2026 and the full cast will be announced later this year.
