The 68th Annual Grammy Awards unfolded at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on February 1, with standout wins for artists across genres and moments that reflected both long-established careers and evolving tastes in music. Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny became the first artist with a Spanish-language album to take Album of the Year for Debí Tirar Más Fotos, while Kendrick Lamar and SZA won Record of the Year for “Luther” and Billie Eilish captured Song of the Year for “Wildflower.”

Bad Bunny’s Album of the Year victory for Debí Tirar Más Fotos also included wins for Best Música Urbana Album and Best Global Music Performance, rounding out a night that highlighted his broad creative reach and connection with audiences worldwide. His acceptance speech drew attention for its homage to heritage and perseverance, dedicating the Grammy to those who leave home to follow their dreams.

Lamar walked away with five Grammys, including Best Rap Album for GNX, and in doing so became the most Grammy-winning rapper in history, surpassing Jay-Z’s total with his 26th award. His collaborations with SZA and others underscored the intensity of his presence on the night.

Billie Eilish’s win for “Wildflower” marked another high point in her Grammy run, bringing her songwriting accolades alongside brother and collaborator Finneas — a reflection of their continued influence on the pop landscape. Other notable winners included Olivia Dean for Best New Artist, Lady Gaga for Best Pop Vocal Album (Mayhem), and performances honored across rock, R&B and global music categories.

The evening’s performances included high-energy sets from Bruno Mars, Rosé and Sabrina Carpenter, but despite those showstopping moments, several big names missed out on the night’s top awards. Mars and Rosé opened the ceremony with a dynamic performance of “APT.”, yet neither secured wins in the general field, and Carpenter’s nominations in multiple major categories went unclaimed.
