The highly anticipated final trailer for “Wicked: For Good” has dropped, giving fans a thrilling glimpse at where the saga of Oz is heading. The new footage teases tension, magic, and emotional reckonings between Elphaba and Glinda, played by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, respectively. We also get the first glimpse of Dorothy as she crash lands in Oz, an event which will upend the entire realm’s fate. See the trailer below!
The trailer opens with a world divided: Glinda shines in Emerald City as a beloved icon, Elphaba remains in exile as the proclaimed “wicked witch.” Scenes show the Wizard (Jeff Goldblum) demanding Elphaba’s capture, Glinda’s mounting guilt, and a wand-and-broom clash with drift of “No Good Deed” underscoring their divergence. Torn between Glinda and Elphaba is Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey), who is getting on his last straw with all the machinations. Key Oz characters like Tin Man, Lion, and Scarecrow also make brief appearances as the trailer sets up a crowded emotional battleground.
Fans online wasted no time. On X, one user wrote, “Glinda’s glow in that sequence? Costume team at their A game,” while another called the showdown “the kind of tension I live for.” Reddit threads quickly filled with Easter-egg hunts and speculation about how much of the stage musical will map directly versus be reimagined.
Directed by Jon M. Chu, the original Wicked (2024) became the highest-grossing stage-to-screen adaptation ever, earning two Oscars among 10 nominations and cementing itself as a cultural phenomenon. Wicked: For Good arrives in theaters on November 21, 2025, promising to wrap up Elphaba and Glinda’s journey in epic, emotional style.
