The game is officially afoot for Netflix’s Enola Holmes 3. The streamer announces that the teen detective adventure has begun shooting in London with lead star Millie Bobby Brown. Louis Partridge, Henry Cavill, Helena Bonham-Carter, Himesh Patel and Sharon Duncan-Brewster will also reprise their roles.
Meanwhile, director Philip Barantini is taking over from Harry Bradbeer, who directed the first two films. He recently contributed a smash hit for Netflix, the based-on-true-story miniseries “Adolescence”. Barantini will direct a script by his “Adolescence” collaborator Jack Thorne, who has adapted all three of the Enola Holmes feature films based on the book series written by Nancy Springer.
Along with the announcement, Netflix published a sequence of photos featuring its young lovebirds, Enola and her love interest Tewkesbury (Partridge), seemingly in yet another awkward but romantic predicament.
The third instalment will take Enola to the sunny vista of Malta where “personal and professional dreams collide on a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before.”
