Slim Shady is about to become Slim Granddaddy!
Through his latest music video for Temporary, Eminem reveals that his daughter Hailie Jade, is expecting her first child with husband Evan McClintock. In the music video, Hailie surprised the 51-year-old rapper with a blue jersey emblazoned with the word “#1 Grandpa” and her sonogram photo. The “Lose Yourself” rapper is visibly moved by the revelation as he shows the sonogram to the camera.
On the same day the music video drops, the 28-year-old Hailie also announces her pregnancy on Instagram. Posting a photo of herself embracing McClintock while holding the sonogram photo, Hailie captions the post: “mom & dad est. 2025.”
Hailie is Eminem’s daughter with ex-wife Kim Scott. The former couple also shares two other daughters, Alaina, 31, and Stevie, 22. Hailie, a social media influencer and podcaster, married her longtime partner McClintock in May 2024. Footage from her wedding also made it to Temporary, depicting the moment Eminem broke down in tears upon seeing his daughter in her wedding dress.
The “Without Me” hitmaker wrote “Temporary” as a tribute to Hailie. The music video features home videos of Eminem with his daughter as a kid, interspersed with her grown-up mileages such as her wedding and pregnancy reveal. In her podcast “Just A Little Shady” Hailie recalls bursting into tears while listening to “Temporary” and another song her father wrote for her, “Somebody Save Me.”
“Between that and ‘Temporary,’ OK, well, that I listened to and it broke me,” she says. “I audibly sobbed I think for both songs, but especially ‘Temporary.’”
