Max has shared the first trailer for the series Dune: Prophecy, whose action takes place long before the story known from the movies.
Dune: Prophecy was announced back in 2019, but over the past few years, the project has undergone many changes, including a complete production restart. Fortunately, Warner Bros. did not cancel the first series from the Dune universe, which expands the world known from two films by Denis Villeneuve. The premiere of the series is getting closer, so the studio has released the first trailer for its upcoming production. The story will focus on the Bene Gesserit, where we will learn about the origins of the order’s activities.
The action takes place 10,000 years before the events of Dune. The series tells the story of the sisters Valya and Tula Harkonnen, who fight against forces threatening the future of humanity and establish the legendary order known as the Bene Gesserit.
The showrunners of the series are Alison Schapker, who also wrote the scripts for the episodes, and Anna Foerster, who directed several episodes. The series stars Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Jodhi May, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Faoileann Cunningham, Aoife Hinds, Chloe Lea, Travis Fimmel, Mark Strong, Jade Anouka, Chris Mason, Josh Heuston, and Edward Davis.
