“Jurassic World Rebirth” starring Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey just released its second trailer. The film, directed by Gareth Edwards, follows a group of mercenaries hired to return to the abandoned Jurassic World and retrieve some dino DNA samples. As if it weren’t made clear how bad that idea had been before.
The brand new snippets tease heavy gun-toting actions, led by Johansson’s skilled sharpshooter. But of course, the main attractions are the dinosaurs, a variety of old favorites and new hybrids with never before seen crazy features. Nostalgia and fresh spin blend together as the crew and somehow, a traveling family, fight for survival against the stomping giants. The iconic Jurassic Park old site also makes a brief appearance as the visitors seek refuge.
Alongside Johansson, Wicked’s Jonathan Bailey will play a scientist sent to the expedition, while two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali plays a soldier involved with the dangerous mission. Rupert Friend, Ed Skrein, and Luna Blaise also co-star.
