Diddy Trial Update: Kid Cudi Accuses Rap Mogul of Blowing Up His Porsche, Ransacking His Home

On week 2 of rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial, rapper Kid Cudi took the stand with some damning allegations dating back to 2011. In his testimony, Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, alleged that Diddy had people cut up the roof of his Porsche and plant a molotov bomb inside, broke into his home, and locked his dog in the bathroom.
The 2011 incident allegedly stemmed from Diddy’s jealousy over Cassie Ventura dating the “Pursuit of Happiness” rapper. At the time, the longtime couple was broken up. On week 1 of the trial, Ventura testified about the sexual and physical abuses she endured from Diddy during their on again, off again relationship from 2007 to 2018.
On the stand, leather jacket-clad Cudi said that Diddy found out about his fling with Ventura in December 2011. He detailed how the “Me & U” singer called him “scared” around 6 a.m. and said Combs had found out she and Mescudi were dating. Per her testimony last week, she was in the middle of a “Freak Off” with Diddy when he learned of the relationship. A “super angry” Diddy then lunged at her with a wine bottle opener but she managed to flee with Cudi picking her up.
After that, Cudi learned that Combs and an associate went to his house. When he arrived home, Combs had already left but he noticed his home security cameras had been moved, and inside the house, some gifts had been opened and his dog was locked in the bathroom. He called the police and filed a police report about the break-in.
In January 2012, Cudi got a call from his dog sitter one morning and was told that his Porsche vehicle was on fire.
“It looks like the top of my Porsche was cut open and that’s where the Molotov cocktail was put in,” Cudi said as a photo of the damaged car was shown to the jury.
Shortly after, Cudi had a meeting with Diddy in Los Angeles, in which the latter vehemently denied his involvement in both incidents. Cudi believed he was lying. He added that in 2015, Diddy tried “to apologize for everything and all that bullsh*t” when the two ran into each other.
Cudi and Ventura broke up by the end of 2011 because, per the former, the drama got to be too much. Following his court testimony, Cudi thanked his fans via an Instagram video.
“It really means a lot to me, man. You guys are the best. I love you all,” he said. “This is a stressful situation, I’m glad it’s behind me.”
