David Beckham Receives A Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Son Brooklyn Missing From The Celebration

David Beckham added another honor to a career filled with trophies and accolades on Thursday, receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in a ceremony attended by his wife Victoria Beckham and three of their four children. Missing from the celebration, however, were eldest son Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham, whose ongoing estrangement from the family has remained a frequent tabloid fodder over the past year.

Held in Los Angeles as the city welcomed matches from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the ceremony drew a crowd of fans, celebrities and sports figures. Actor Tom Cruise was among those paying tribute, describing Beckham’s journey from East London football prodigy to global icon as a “Hollywood story.” Victoria Beckham also delivered a speech, praising her husband’s work ethic and influence on the growth of soccer in the United States.

Beckham became the first professional footballer to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. During his remarks, the former England captain reflected on his childhood dreams and thanked his family for supporting him throughout his career. He became emotional while discussing his children and expressed hope that future generations of his family would one day visit the landmark and learn about his story.

The celebration arrived against the backdrop of the highly publicized Beckham family rift. Brooklyn and Nicola have reportedly been estranged from David and Victoria since last year, with tensions escalating through social media posts, public statements and missed family events. Their absence was particularly noticeable given that Victoria, Romeo, Cruz and Harper Beckham were all present for the occasion.
