Rising star D4vd – real name David Anthony Burke – is now officially a suspect in the chilling death investigation surrounding a teenager whose body was found in a Tesla registered to him. Multiple LAPD sources told The Guardian that Burke is being treated as a person of interest as the probe into the September discovery deepens.
The victim, Celeste Rivas Hernandez, was confirmed to be a 15-year-old girl who went missing in April 2024, according to People. Her severely decomposed remains were discovered in the front trunk (“frunk”) of the impounded Tesla after employees at a Hollywood tow lot reported a foul odor.
While Burke has not been arrested or formally charged, sources say he “has not been fully cooperative” with investigators. A search warrant was executed at a property associated with him in the Hollywood Hills, and police reportedly collected computers and other materials for evidence.
The medical examiner has yet to release an official cause of death for Rivas Hernandez, and investigators continue to treat the case as a possible homicide.
