Last year, the couple sent the internet into a frenzy when Rodriguez shared photo of her massive $5 million engagement ring on Instagram.
The couple exchanged vows in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal on August 11. They confirmed the marriage on Instagram with a photograph of their hands showing off their wedding bands, accompanied by the simple caption “C❤️G.”
Ronaldo, 41, and Rodriguez, 32, have been together since 2016 after meeting at a Gucci store in Madrid, where Rodriguez worked as a sales assistant. Their relationship became public the following year, and Rodriguez eventually built her own career as a model, entrepreneur and television personality. Her Netflix reality series, “I Am Georgina,” gave viewers a glimpse into their family life and the world surrounding the football star.
The wedding also brought an end to months of speculation over when and where the couple would marry. Reports had pointed toward Madeira, Ronaldo’s birthplace, with some fans even gathering outside Funchal Cathedral in anticipation of a ceremony. The actual wedding took place in Cascais instead, with their five children present for the intimate occasion. the 5-time Balloon D’Or winner and Rodriguez are parents to daughters Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda, while they also raise Cristiano Jr. and twins Eva Maria and Mateo from Ronaldo’s previous relationships. Their son Ángel, Bella’s twin brother, died shortly after birth in 2022.
Rodriguez first revealed the engagement with a photograph of her enormous diamond ring and the caption, “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives” on August 11, 2025 — exactly a year before the wedding took place.
