Coco Gauff Defeats Belinda Bencic to Advance to the 2025 Madrid Open Quarterfinals

Coco Gauff defeated Belinda Bencic 6-4, 6-2  in the fourth round of the Madrid Open and advanced to the quarterfinals. Gauff managed to finish the match before the widespread blackout hit Madrid and Spain.

Coco Gauff’s interview on court was interrupted in the middle when the power was cut off.

Coco Gauff will face Mirra Andreeva on Wednesday for a place in the semifinals.
