The highly anticipated music festival Coachella is set to kick off this weekend. Held at the Coachella Valley in California, the annual festival draws an average of 250,000 spectators to the desert for two weekends of star-studded musical acts, parties, and lifestyle events. This year, the headlining spots feature Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone.

Additionally, over 100 high profile musicians all over the world are set to take the stage at Coachella this year. For the Friday sets, hip hop diva Missy Elliott and rock prodigy Benson Boone are scheduled to perform, as is K-Pop star turns soloist, Lisa of Blackpink. Pop sensation Charlie xcx is set to bring her Brat energy for two consecutive Saturdays, on April 12 and 19, as are K-Pop boy group ENHYPEN and pioneering horror punk band The Misfits. Finally, on Sundays, rapper Meghan Thee Stallion, EDM royalty Zedd, Blackpink’s Jennie, Filipino-British indie darling beabadobee, Japanese girl group XG and many more will rock the stage.

Following last minute cancellations by FKA Twigs (over visa issue) and Brazilian diva Anitta (over personal reason), the festival quickly added Weezer and Ed Sheeran to the lineup. The musicians will perform at the Mojave Stage, in a departure from their usual big-stage acts.

Every year, the festival turns the otherwise sleepy town into a cultural hotspot filled with music, influencer events, party-loving kids bunking together, and a plethora of famous faces in the crowd. This year is expected to be no different.
