Iga Swiatek did it again! World No. 1 from Poland has qualified for the prestigious WTA finals tournament for the fourth consecutive year. Iga is the only female tennis player on the WTA tour who is sure of playing as her biggest rivals (Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, Elena Rybakina, Jasmine Paolini) still have a lot of work to do to qualify.

It appears that Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles had a bit of a champagne problem after the conclusion of the Paris Games last week. In a new TikTok video, the star gymnast recounted how on the last night before leaving the city, a Paris nightclub tried to charge her $26,000 for a bottle of champagne. 

At 23 years old, tennis champ Iga Swiatek achieved a remarkable feat as she remains at No. 1 for the 117th week. The Pole dethroned Australia’s Ashleigh Barty from the top spot back in April 2022. This makes her the 8th player to secure #1 in the WTA history, tying with Justine Henin.

Early this week, it came to light that Men’s World No. 1 tennis player Jannik Sinner had tested positive twice for clostebol, a type of steroid banned by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA). However, the ITIA also ruled no fault or negligence on the 23-year-old Italian’s part for the positive results. The decision has sparked an uproar among the professional tennis community.
