Carly Rae Jepsen surprised all her fans with the announcement of a double album. The project is titled “Day and Night” and will be officially released on September 18.
The project was announced on Carly Rae Jepsen’s social media, along with a link to the pre-save and the information that the album features 24 songs. And, as the name suggests, it will be divided into two parts: Day and Night.
Over the past few weeks, the 40-year-old Canadian singer had been posting mysterious photos on her social media, piquing her fans’ curiosity. After many theories, the singer posted “It’s a double album baby! You guessed it right.”
The first 12 songs represent the “Day” side and have been described as “more open-eyed, organic, and earthbound,” while the other 12 represent the album’s second side, “Night,” which is “more escapist and even intense at times,” according to the singer herself.
Jepsen also announced that the first single from her new musical era “On Wires” will be officially available this Friday on all digital platforms. Check the official preview below.
