Carlos Alcaraz Defeats Luciano Darderi to Advance to the Fourth Round of US Open 2025

Carlos Alcaraz defeated Luciano Darderi 6-2, 6-4, 6-0  in the third round of the US Open and advanced to the fourth round. Alcaraz took less than two hours to hold off Darderi in a business as usual match between the two.

“I just tried to start awake. My first goal was to start well, to start focused, to start with energy. I think I started pretty well, pushing him to the limit, trying to play long rallies, trying to get a good rhythm with the serve and the return… and after that just keep it going” said Carlos Alcaraz in a post-match interview.

Carlos Alcaraz will face Arthur Rinderknech on Wednesday for a place in the quarterfinals.
