Carlos Alcaraz Defeats Li Tu to Reach Round 2 of US Open 2024

Carlos Alcaraz defeated Li Tu 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 in the first round of the US Open and advanced to the second round. Carlos Alcaraz took almost three hours to hold off Li Tu in a thrilling match.

“I enjoy every single time I play here in New York. It is one of the most electric crowds I play in front of. For me, it’s a huge honor to play here once again, said Carlos Alcaraz in a post-match interview.

Carlos Alcaraz will face Botic van de Zandschulp on Thursday for a place in the third round.
