Disney has officially unveiled the first teaser trailer for Camp Rock 3, offering fans their first extended look at the long-awaited sequel while introducing a new class of aspiring performers. Set to premiere this summer on Disney Channel before streaming on Disney+, the film reunites the Jonas Brothers as Connect 3 while passing the spotlight to a fresh group of campers chasing their musical dreams. The teaser opens with Shane (Joe Jonas), Nate (Nick Jonas) and Jason Gray (Kevin Jonas) arriving back at Camp Rock as their band searches for an opening act ahead of its reunion tour. It also introduces a host of fresh faces leading the next generation of Camp Rock, led by Sage (Liamani Segura), alongside fellow campers Fletch (Malachi Barton), Rosie (Lumi Pollack), Desi (Hudson Stone), Cliff (Casey Trotter), Callie (Brooklynn Pitts), Madison (Ava Jean), Danielle (Ella Lucas) and Daniel (Orlando Lucas). Beside the Jonas Brothers, Maria Canals-Barrera also reprises her role as Connie Torres, Mitchie Torres (Demi Lovato)’s mom in the original.
Directed by Veronica Rodriguez from a screenplay by Eydie Faye, the film follows a new generation of musicians competing for the opportunity to join Connect 3 on tour. The teaser hints at rivalries, budding romances and high-energy performances while previewing the original song “One Beat Away,” performed by Segura, which serves as the first single from the soundtrack. Choreography is overseen by Jamal Sims.
One familiar face, however, will remain behind the camera. Lovato, who headlined the first two Camp Rock films as Mitchie, returns as an executive producer but does not reprise the role onscreen. Lovato joins the Jonas Brothers, Tim Federle and other producers in helping guide the franchise’s next chapter.
Arriving more than 15 years after Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, the sequel aims to blend nostalgia with a fresh cast of Disney stars. Camp Rock 3 premieres on Disney Channel on Aug. 13, followed by its Disney+ debut on Aug. 14.
