One of the original cast of Netflix’s beloved romcom series is saying “au revoir”.

Actress Camille Razat – who for four seasons portrays Camille, Emily (Lily Collins)’s sometimes friend, sometimes love rival – has announced that she will not be returning for Emily In Paris season 5.

“After an incredible journey, I’ve made the decision to step away from Emily in Paris. It has been a truly wonderful experience — one filled with growth, creativity, and unforgettable memories,” Razat said.

“I’m deeply grateful to Darren Star and the entire team at Netflix and Paramount for their trust and for giving me the opportunity to bring Camille to life and leaving the door open for her return, as she will always be a part of Emily In Paris world. This character has meant a lot to me, and I feel that her storyline has naturally come to an end. It felt like the right moment to explore new horizons.”

At the end of season 4, Camille’s pregnancy is revealed to be fake, putting her tumultuous relationship with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), who’s in love with Emily, to a definite end. The love triangle has been at the forefront of the show since its inception. After the whole pregnancy drama, Camille decides to leave Paris — a decision now mirrored by its portrayer.

Still, the French actress doesn’t rule out reprising her role in the future. In the meantime, the 31-year-old has two new series in her pipeline (with a third on the way) and recently founded a production company.
