Held October 26 at the historic Paramount Studios, Vogue’s haute event brought together big-name stars on and off the runway to celebrate the legacy of fashion in cinema. Among a sea of A-listers like Kendall Jenner, Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and many more, V stood out through eclectic styling and sheer starpower. He arrived in a long, tailored gray overcoat over a matching suit, cinched with a bold red belt featuring a traditional Korean norigae charm and a wide-brimmed hat that tied the look together. The outfit paid tribute to his Korean heritage while embracing high fashion. Fans and fashion outlets praised the nod to hanbok styling and Korean craftsmanship by designer Jaybaek Couture.
Inside, he was seated next to Dakota Johnson and Cynthia Erivo as models and actors strut their stuff wearing iconic costumes from films like “Black Panther”, “Moulin Rouge”, and “Dune”.
Online, reactions exploded. On X (formerly Twitter), the hashtag #VxVogueWorldHollywood trended in the hundreds of thousands. Many praised the “Dynamite” singer for choosing to wear a Korean brand instead of a global fashion house for the event.
“He looks so elegant and perfect, oh taehyung [V’s real name] the man that you are,” complimented one user.
“The classic King of Asia, now ready for global domination.” one user wrote.
Another wrote: “The hat the belt the coat the color the face?! OMG KIM TAEHYUNG I LOVE IT.”
The event itself, is Vogue’s annual fashion-meets-film gala bringing runway energy to the big screen and vice versa. V had the distinction of becoming the first ever Korean musician to be invited to the annual show.
