BTS are back at the top — and this time, they’re ruling every major chart in sight. The group’s latest single “SWIM” has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving the global superstars another milestone in their already record-setting career. The track opens atop the chart dated April 4, continuing the band’s streak of major U.S. hits. This is the seven-member K-Pop band’s seventh No. 1 on the chart – joining Dynamite”, “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)”, “Life Goes On”, “Butter”, “Permission to Dance”, and “My Universe”.
At the same time, their new album ARIRANG has launched at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, becoming the group’s seventh chart-topping album in the United States.
The dominance extends far beyond the U.S. market. “SWIM” also reached No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, while charting across multiple territories including Australia, France and India. The album has mirrored that success worldwide, debuting at No. 1 in countries including the U.K., Germany and Australia.
Commercially, ARIRANG delivered one of the biggest openings of the year. The album moved 641,000 units in its first week in the U.S., while globally it sold over 4 million copies within days of release. Streaming numbers have been equally massive, with “SWIM” pulling in over 15 million streams in a single day on Spotify and all 14 tracks from the album charting simultaneously on major platforms.
The chart sweep reflects the huge anticipation for BTS’ first full-group comeback following military service, nearly four years in the making. The comeback rollout includes a large-scale world tour and a major partnership with Netflix, which included a historic concert at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul and a making-of documentary.
