After a three-year hiatus of military services and solo projects, the seven members of K-Pop boyband BTS have officially announced their full group return date in 2026. On New Year’s Eve, members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook went on a joint livestream and wrote a letter revealing March 20, 2026 as their comeback date — immediately setting social media alight.
In the joint live on Weverse, the group’s fan communication app, the seven members celebrated the end of the year together in the living room of leader RM, showcasing festive mood and their usual playful camaraderie while answering fan questions, joking around, and discussing their forthcoming return. The NYE live followed a string of joint lives the group had organized since all members’ completion of mandatory military services, meant as a soft launch ahead of their highly anticipated comeback.
Alongside the date announcement, BTS has wiped all their social media accounts clean. In its place, the “Dynamite” hitmaker teases a brand new logo in red bearing the March 20 date. ARMY, the group’s dedicated fandom, immediately got to work speculating on what the graphic could mean for the comeback. Reactions on social media have been overwhelmingly ecstatic — despite not releasing group songs for over three years, BTS remains the no. 1 K-Pop boy group in popularity across the world, a testament to their global impact.
