Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might” Returns to Number 1 on Hot 100 As “The Romantic” Debuts Atop Billboard ‘200

Bruno Mars is enjoying one of the biggest chart weeks of his career as his single “I Just Might” climbs back to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 while his latest album “The Romantic” debuts at the top of the Billboard 200. The dual achievement places the singer-songwriter at the center of the current music conversation and extends a chart run that has already been building since the start of the year.
“I Just Might,” released in January as the lead single from the album, became Mars’ 10th Hot 100 No. 1 hit and his first to debut directly at the summit when it initially arrived on the chart earlier this year. The retro-leaning disco-pop track blends soul and funk elements that have long defined Mars’ catalog, and it has continued to perform strongly across radio and streaming platforms.
At the same time, “The Romantic” opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with about 186,000 equivalent album units in its first week in the United States. The figure combines album sales, streaming numbers and track downloads, reflecting the way modern releases perform across formats.
The chart performance represents Mars’ first No. 1 album in more than a decade, following the success of Unorthodox Jukebox, which topped the chart in 2013. The nine-track project is also his first solo album since 2016’s 24K Magic, arriving after years of collaborations and global hits.
The album’s strong sales were boosted by physical editions, including multiple vinyl variants, alongside heavy streaming activity. The release week also saw every track from the album land on major streaming playlists and chart tallies.
The outcome solidifies the Grammy-winning pop star’s run as the most consistent hitmaker of the last two decades. Last year, his collaborations with Lady Gaga (“Die With A Smile”) and Blackpink Rosé (“APT”) also dominated charts and swept major awards.
