In the most exciting news for 90’s adventure film lovers, The Mummy’s legendary pair of Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are reportedly ready to reunite. Sources say the pair is in serious talks with Universal to reprise their iconic roles as Rick O’Connell and Evelyn Carnahan, more than two decades after their original screen debut. The film is under early development with horror-veteran duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (of “Ready or Not” and “Scream”) reportedly attached to direct.
In the original 1999 hit, Fraser’s rugged Egyptologist O’Connell teams up with Weisz’s bold librarian-turned-adventurer Evelyn when they accidentally awaken the cursed high priest Imhotep.
