Amid her ongoing public snafu, It Ends With Us star Blake Lively gets a rare positive nod after making the 2025 Time 100 Most Influential People announced Wednesday. Lively is among a handful of entertainment figures selected for this year’s roster, which include rapper Snoop Dogg, pop wonder boy Ed Sheeran, The Substance star Demi Moore, and comedienne Nikki Glaser, among others.
In her Time Magazine profile, written by civil rights lawyer Sherrilyn Ifill, she is described as “a philanthropist and a student of our country’s most intractable problems.” She is lauded for her charitable efforts. With her husband, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds, she has contributed to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund against voter suppression and police brutality.
“Blake is a serious person. She’s a risk taker,” Ifill said of the Gossip Girl star. “And she’s committed to moving this country forward. For her children. And for mine.”
The commendation is certainly a breath of fresh air for the embattled star, who has been locking horns with her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni for months over allegations of toxic workplace, sexual misconduct, and smear campaign.
