Troubled rapper Kanye “Ye” West is reportedly splitting up with wife Bianca Censori. This follows a few weeks of erratic behavior by the musician, which has reached an alarming point even by his standards.
A few weeks ago, the two became the center of controversy when Ye seemingly ordered Censori to take off her coat during the Grammy Awards red carpet, revealing the latter’s near-naked body to the world. The stunt shocked the public, with many voicing concern over Kanye’s controlling behavior toward his wife.
Then came the infamous Yeezy Super Bowl commercial. The ad had the “Stranger” rapper telling people to visit Yeezy’s website, where he was promoting T-shirts with swastika on it. The backlash against the commercial was swift. Shopify quickly took down Yeezy’s shop on its platform – though not before the controversial shirts sold out.
The Grammy winner then went on a tirade on X, spewing antisemitic and racist rants. He also called himself a racist and a Nazi and insisted that he “loves Hitler.” The chaotic ramblings recalled a similar incident a few years ago, leading many to believe the rapper – who was diagnosed with bipolar syndrome – isn’t mentally well.
According to Daily Mail, Ye and Censori have been living separately since the Grammys. The two are reportedly lawyering up as we speak. The couple allegedly did not sign a prenuptial agreement prior to their December 2022 wedding. If that’s true, Censori is entitled to 50% of Ye’s earnings during the duration of their marriage, which amounts to at least $5 million.
