Yesterday Avril Lavigne dropped the third single from her upcoming album “Head Above Water.” The new track entitled “Dumb Blonde” tells the story of one’s looks and appearance, and touches upon the singer’s own empowerment.
Avril Lavigne recruited Nicki Minaj for the collaboration on this song.
Minaj admitted to be a fan of Avril’s music: “If you know me, you know how long I’ve been a fan of hers. You couldn’t tell me I wasn’t hittin’ EVERY note on ‘I’m with you’ in the shower.”
And likewise – Avril shared on her Instagram that she is Nicki’s fan as well. “Nicki is such a talented, strong woman and driving force. I listen to ‘Fly,’ ‘Starships’ and ‘Bed’ all the time. Having her on the song is so special to me.”
Avril’s sixth album “Head Above Water” will be released on February 15, 2019.
