Fresh off a hectic first half of 2026 in her career, Anne Hathaway is about to get busy in a whole ‘nother way – this time, expanding her family. “The Devil Wears Prada 2” actress just revealed on Instagram that she is expecting baby number 3 with husband Adam Shulman.
Hathaway made the announcement with a short clip of herself cheekily covering her belly before revealing the baby bump to the camera. Soon after, the Oscar winner was photographed on a family holiday at Saint-Tropez, heavily pregnant and radiant as ever. Fans greeted the news with delight and a note of surprise. For months, Hathaway had flawlessly hid her pregnancy while attending back-to-back press runs for “Mother Mary”, “The Devil Wears Prada 2”, and “The Odyssey.”
The baby will join the couple’s two sons, Jonathan and Jack. Hathaway and Shulman, a jewelry designer and producer, have long kept their family life largely out of the spotlight despite the actress’ A-list status. The pair began dating in 2008 and married in an intimate California ceremony in 2012. Over the years, Hathaway has occasionally spoken about motherhood and the challenges she faced on her journey to expanding her family, earning praise from fans for her candor.
Hathaway continued to prove that juggling motherhood and Hollywood superstardom graciously is possible. The actress recently returned to one of her most beloved roles in Disney and 20th Century Studios’ “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” reprising her part as Andy Sachs alongside Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci. She has also generated awards-season buzz for A24’s music drama “Mother Mary,” directed by David Lowery and co-starring Michaela Coel.
Looking ahead, Hathaway is set to remain a major presence on screens through her role in Christopher Nolan’s epic adaptation of “The Odyssey” as Penelope, the wife of the protagonist at the center of the Greek myth, played by Matt Damon.
