Aryna Sabalenka Defeats Leylah Fernandez to Advance to the Fourth Round of US Open 2025

Aryna Sabalenka defeated Leylah Fernandez 6-3, 7-6 (2) in the third round of the US Open and advanced to the fourth round. Sabalenka took roughly one hour and a half to hold off Fernandez in a thrilling match between the two.

“It was definitely an exciting match. Last time we met, it was a great battle. She played an incredible match, and I wanted this revenge badly, so I’m super happy with the win. She’s a great player, a great competitor and always brings you the fight on court” said Aryna Sabalenka in a post-match interview.

Aryna Sabalenka will face Cristina Bucșa on Wednesday for a place in the quarterfinals.
