Ariana Grande joined nationwide protests in the Los Angeles area last weekend. The singer joined her boyfriend Dalton Gomez and friend Doug Middlebrook to voice her protest after the murder of George Floyd by a police officer in May.
On Saturday (30 May), the singer joined the march and advocated for the end of racial violence. She also carried a sign reading “Black lives matter.”
“Hours and miles of peaceful protesting yesterday that got little to no coverage. All throughout Beverly hills and west Hollywood we chanted, people beeped and cheered along. We were passionate, we were loud, we were loving,” tweets Ariana.
The homicide of George Floyd sparked nationwide protests and Ariana was among many celebrities who voiced their concern regarding the current situation in the United States.
