Ariana Grande Announces New Album “Petal”, Due Out July 2026

Ariana Grande the pop superstar is officially back! Following a couple years’ break from music to pursue acting, the “thank you, next” songstress is returning to music with her eighth studio album Petal. Grande confirmed the album this week, with Petal set for release on July 31 via Republic Records.

The record follows 2024’s Eternal Sunshine, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and produced multiple chart-topping singles. The new album will be co-written and executive produced by Grande alongside longtime collaborator Ilya Salmanzadeh, continuing a partnership that has defined much of her pop catalog.

The rollout has been deliberately minimal so far. Grande unveiled the project through social media, sharing a black-and-white cover image featuring a close-up of her smiling — a departure from the more guarded visuals of her previous eras. The title itself carries thematic weight. In press materials, Grande described Petal as “full of life” and rooted in the idea of growth emerging from difficult circumstances, pointing toward an album shaped by resilience and emotional renewal.

The project also lands at a transitional moment in Grande’s career. In recent years, she has focused heavily on acting, most notably starring as Glinda in the film adaptation of Wicked, for which she was nominated for an Oscar. The upcoming release coincides with her planned return to the stage, with a major tour set to launch in June — her first since 2019.

While track details remain under wraps, early reports suggest Petal will continue Grande’s exploration of personal themes, blending introspection with a more optimistic tone than her previous work.

The album adds to the singer-actress’ busy 2026 agenda, which is already packed with tour dates and an upcoming film, “Focker-In-Law”, co-starring Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro.
